Cheryl, This is a message that you probably received because you have a Family Tree Maker Program?? Genealogy.com is a reputable site that has great data bases and very nice people. I have been a subscriber for over a year now and have been nothing but happy with it. They have 1850 census images for some states as well as 1900 census images for most states in addition to many other data bases. They are very well indexed and easy to navigate and look at the images. Far better that Ancestry in ease of use just not volume. In my experience with them, I subscribed to the Immigration and Passenger List Index and did not find what I wanted. I sent them an email that I did not feel it would be useful to me (this was within a week of subscribing) and they promptly gave me credit for it. I started out by subscribing a month at a time to try it out and quickly became a yearly subscriber. This is not a scam by any means. It is a very useful website for serious researchers.
