STEELE who has been operator and ticket agent for the Frisco in this city since April 1916, has been transferred at his own request, to Chester, AR. {March 5, 1926. Expected back} Frank WOLFINGER and family are moving this week to Glenwood, AR, where Mr Wolfinger will have an interest in and charge of an ice plant. This family have made Boynton their home for seventeen years. Mr Wolfinger was the first man to operate a garage in this town, prior to which he was associated with his father in conducting the gia. He was mayor for one term and it was while he held this important office that the sewer system was put in Dr W.E. PEARCE was called to Wichita, KS Monday morning by the death of his uncle W.W. PEARCE, 82 yrs old, who died of heart failure Sunday. The deceased was a pioneer Kansasn having located in that state in 1871. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a retired jeweler. Miss Bernice M. BAKER and Mr E.B. WOLFINGER were united in marriage last Saturday evening at the home of the bride's brother, Mr BAKER, in the east part of town. They will make their home in Arkansas 15 jan 1926 Word was received Wednesday morning that Mrs Isaac VANCE, who has been sick for the past several months, died at the home of her brother in Stillwater. {about Jan 22} W.C. WEATHERLY and family moved to Moffitt last week to make their home. ViLucile, the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Garland McDOWELL, died early Sunday morning at the home of Mr and Mrs Douglas HANCOCK. The remains were removed Sunday to the home of Mrs McDowell's mother, Mrs MERK, in Muskogee, from where interment took place in Greenhill Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Born to Mr and Mrs Lee GUINN, northeast of town December 27, a son and to Mr and Mrs J.L. GARRETT, in this city, Wednesday morning, a girl Mrs Albert BACHER and daughter, Jewel, returned to their home at Fulton, MO Thursday after an extended visit here to Mrs BACHER's son, O.L. BAKER and family and daughters, Mesdames E.B. WOLFINGER and E.J. MURPHY. Roy Lester ALLEN arrived at the home of Mr and Mrs W.J. ALLEN last Friday night, weighing 9 and 1/2 pounds.

She leaves, besides parents, sisters and a brother. 10 jan 1901 died- James BINGHAM, a well known and highly respected merchant of Lee, died last Wednesday (note from me: this is from my line; a son of Pleasant Walker Bingham) 24 jan 1901 dead- Mrs Henry HOWELL, last Friday. She leaves a husband and five children- four girls and 1 boy. She is buried at Greenhill Cemetery. {Also a memoriam by the Astrea Chapter #14, O.E.S.} died- Mrs Mary BARTHELL, niece of Mr & Mrs George ELLIOTT, of this city at her home near Brush Mt Saturday. She leaves a husband an four small children Col. Pink HAWKINS, the oldest Creek in the Creek Nation died at his home west of Eufaula last Monday a week. He came to I.T. with the first lot of Creeks that came from Alabama and has held many important offices of the tribe. Had marvelous success in California, gold digging in 1849 and returned with a fortune. He was 90 years old (Dallas news) 31 jan 1901 Mr Robt HUTCHINSON and Flossie FAULKNER, of Checotah, were married last Saturday.....Mr Hutchinson used to live in Muskogee dead- Mrs Charles REAVES died at Lampasas Springs, TX, where Mr Reaves took his wife on account of her health. She left a husband and small daughter. She was buried at that place. Mr Reaves and daughter returned to Muskogee. married- on jan 14th, Mr John CASEY and Miss Savannah EVANS
3 may 1900 died- Mrs Sarah SANDERS, after a lingering illness died last Sunday. She is the wife of J.W. SANDERS. Will be buried at Greenhill Cemetery near her daughter Nina, who died 2 or 3 yrs ago. She was nee BUTLER, coming from one of the most prominent families of the Cherokee Nation. She leaves a husband and six children. (note from me: Sarah was m. #1 to Benjamin Porter) married- Mr. B.R. DuBOIS returned from Alabama where one April 25th he married to Miss Lizzie GANTT, daughter of prominent family whom Mr DuBois had known since childhood. wedding- at the Episcopal Church, April 30th, Mr W.N. PATTERSON and Miss Catherine RECTOR The couple left on the northern bound flyer for St Louis and then to Europe. Mr Patterson inherited a large part of his uncle's estate and Patterson Mercantile Co. Mrs Patterson is the eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Rector, of this city, who came here several years ago from Ft Smith, AR. Her own family is one of the oldest in western Arkansas, being the grand daughter of Major Eias RECTOR, early settler. 10 may 1900 dead- George E. NELSON, one of the territory's best known attorneys died in his office at the court house..he was between 40-50 yrs old. His two daughters live some where in Texas. BROWN, mercant, last Friday 9 nov 1899 obituary- Col William ROBISON, prominent Creek, born in alabama about the time of the removal of the Creeks; his father being a prominent member of the nation....he learned the blacksmith trade, but later took a position in the store of G.F. McCLISH, on Little River, and later married Adiline, daughter of Mr McClish, who was the first Judge of the Chicasaws. Col Robison leaves four children: Josephine, George, Amos, and Will. 19 may 1899 John RICORD married Mrs M.A. ROBINSON of Hot Springs, AR May 10th at 8 oclock Mr J.B. CAMPBELL, who has lately moved to this city with his famly from Sulphur Springs, Texas has purchased a lot from Turner & Porter on Okmulgee Ave and will erect a neat cottage. Mrs Nina BROOK, dau of Mrs S.E. SANDERS and niece of Mrs C.W. TURNER died this morning....she was the wife of E.E. BROOK, her name being PORTER before her marriage two years ago. She leaves one child. (see June 1 1899) 25 may 1899 Dewey BROWN, 3 yr old son of Mr & Mrs Mark BROWN, died Tuesday morning of pneumonia and nasal catarrh (?). Rev WEBB died at Frozen Rock last Friday and was buried at that place 1 jun 1899 Monday evening the tired but patient spirit of Mrs Nina Porter BROOK received it's release from the trials of earth and joined the host of friends and kindred in teh better land. Two weeks ago it was announced that she was dead, indeed the thread of life so nearly snapped that very near relatives were informed that she had died......she is buried at Greenhill.
