She overhead him plotting a robbery with someone else. When she knew he had saw that she overheard them she started running. He shot at her and it put a permant part in her hair. Hi Linda, I also enjoy reading the old Muskogee Co Newspapers. My family was in Wainwright and Boynton area 1900-1946. I recently was the beneficiary of many posts made by "George E. Miller" <llm@crosstel.net> of Webber Falls, covering the local news carried by the Muskogee Phoenix. I also enjoy visiting your lib and museum when I visit the ole country! Your Muskogee Lib has several reels of film covering the newspapers of Wainwright ca 1900-1920. Newspapers in Wainwright!! Yes. Try the vital statistics.... or the Sallisaw Court House for records prior to 1930
We are in need of how to find information on a person that may have died between 1890 and 1930 in the Sallisaw area (?), her name was MARGARET AVANT(s). We were told that records of this nature could be found in Muskogee. We have no idea where, could someone guide us in the correct location. Thanks for your help. Mike
