I found an ancestor on the 1910 Muskogee Co. Census and it listed Agency Township as the town. Is there a town in Muskogee County called Agency? If anyone knows anything about this area, I would love to hear from you. Kathy California
http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form According to USGS, Agency Cemetery, Northwest Muskogee; Agency Hill, Northwest Muskogee; Agency School (Historical) unknown; Agency Township, Northwest Muskogee, Lat.;354545N Long.: 0952730W. Near Taft
I dont know about "Agency" Township, but they used Township names for different sections of land areas, and i was wondering if anyone knew of any maps that shows the different Townships for the state of Oklahoma??? Ralph
Tammy, What in particuliar are you looking for in the Holdenville area? I may be able to help you.
I tried the Porum site, only got that they were not affilated or endorsed Yahoo in any way, said it was under construction. Helen

Many Thanks to you and Mike of Roseville, CA. for the information and the offer of help. I will keep both in mind. Have you heard the story of the man with only one watch? He always knew what time it was. But the man with two watches never knew what time it was. Well, now I am like the man with two watches, except in this case I have two maiden names for Elizabeth Pauline's mother and I have no idea which is correct. Or even how to find out. Maybe one of these days!!!!! Thank you both again, Cecil At 06:18 PM 7/10/01 -0700, you wrote: > > > > Corbell Family > > To: Cecil V. Boyd: > >I looked in the Calif. Yes, it sure is, and thank you for answering me also. I am glad that you got your computer up and running again. Will see you around I am sure. The Porum site was very interesting. I had family who lived there and were born in and around Porum and Webbers Falls, so just wanted to take a look. Have a nice week. Joyce
Does anyone know when they started publishing city directories for Muskogee? I am researching ancestors who lived there in 1910-? Kathy

Does anyone live in Chouteau, OK? I am trying to determine whether a shaft erected by the Oklahoma Ordinance Works in 1941-42 paying tribute to my gggrandfather Col. Auguste P. Chouteau still exists. I have an article dated 12/7/1941 from the Muskogee Ok Phoenix that describes the dedication ceremonies. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who is familiar with this shaft would contact me. Many thanks! Philippe [email protected]

I didn't have any trouble accessing this site. It is not exactly a genealogy site but has some history, some current things, some old stuff, humor. Worth a look. It does have listings for Cramp and Fields Cemeteries. Sue
On June 8, I saw a message posted by [email protected] (Claus) that gave a web site for Porum, OK. I have tried the web site given: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/9091/index.html But I cannot get it to open, Does anyone have any information on this site?
