    2. Hi! I am doing research for a friend. His name is Jerry Gibson. His father John Raymond Gibson was born in 1919. Oscar Gibson, born in 1895, is Jerry's grandfather. He thinks his grandmother (Oscar's wife) was Margaret. Jerry's mother died in the early 1940's when he was about 4 yrs. old. He thinks his mother's name was Dortheal (sp?). He is not sure what her maiden name was, but he thinks it could be Williams, or Williamson. Jerry's family would not share any info with him about his mom. He thinks she may have had Indian heritage. He has some recollection of family. An aunt named Fannie, a cousin named Ken Gibson married to Beatrice, and some relatives with the name Bennet (sp?). The family was primarily from the Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma areas and also the Texas area. Would you know of any connections to this family? Thanks, Gail Huber I can be e-mailed at: [email protected]

Hope people are more careful next time, and even though it was not I, Kathryn, I sincerely apologize because I know you are legit and are a great person for helping others! The email that was sent out warning us said that the person doing the "scam" sends out as if they are the list owner/manager and that they only ask that you give them email addresses! 3. Kathryn, Honey, don't sweat the small (two peoples minds) stuff. I doubt anyone too your Roll call as a spamming attempt. I saw your roll call on one of my other lists. I'm telling you i never even thot of you spamming. " Gee, why didn't you add Jones and Smiths and Whites to your name list. I'm suuuuuuuuuure you would have gotten lots more names to spam. " she said biting her tongue hard. lolololol You are gonna run across small minded people like them (unfortunetly) all the time. I left a list because of jerks like that and i won't go back. I don't deal well with narrow minded, rectal sphinxtures. I'm not suggesting you leave Muskogee list. MOST of the people are pretty nice. Unfortunately there are those few. We in Muskogee ignore them so thats probly why they picked on you. lolol At least i'm assuming they are in Muskogee. If not, especially ignore them. It will piss them off worse. Chin up. 1. [OKMUSKOG] WARNING PLEASE READ - TO THE LIARS SPREADING FALSE ACCUSATION
    2. Kathryn Swearingen
    3. To those spreading lies about my posting of my family surnames: I resent your accusation that my posting was to get Email addresses and names. IT WAS NOT! It would be interesting to know who "WARNED" you that this was a spamming E-Mail.. You should have checked it out before opening your mouth. A good genealogist would have verified and confirmed the facts before spreading gossip. I am so angry that you have dirtied my good name. You two people owe me an appology and also one to each of the Mailing Lists that you have forwarded this to without getting the correct facts. You are a disgrace to the genealogical researchers on these list. I AM RESEARCHING FOR MYSELF, HAVE BEEN FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS MY FULL TIME HOBBY SINCE I RETIRED. I HAVE NO BUSINESS INTEREST NOR DO I INTEND TO GO INTO ANY BUSINESS. I posted my SURNAMES in response to a ROLL CALL from one of the list. Since I hadn't posted anything to several list in a long long time, I used the one posting and sent my SURNAMES to all the lists that I belong to. There are a lot of new people joining Mailing Lists every day and one of my names maybe the answer to their brick wall or they may fill in a blank in my brick wall. I don't recall reading in any Mailing List instructions that I could not send my SURNAMES to multiple Mailing Lists in one E-Mail or any way I wanted. There is no set Format for sending your Surnames. To everybody else, that receives this message, I apologize that you have to read my disgust with these two people, but I do not know who else they may have sent this message to. I feel that my research on my posting of my Surnames will be hampered now because of their sending out this false information about ME. Thanks to my E-Mail Families that I have shared information with, to those that have shared their information with me, to those that needed help and I was able to give them what they needed, and to all those that still need that first wedge in the 'brick wall'. I hope you will understand that I am still here and willing to help anyone that I can. I am not a fly by night nor am I some kind of scam. Some of my accomplishments, but not all, are: I have many years of background in genealogy, completed the NGS Home Study Course, taken many other genealogical courses, attended many many seminars, National and Locally, Served as President of Harris Co. Genealogical Society for 7 years, Editor of their Quarterlies for five years, held offices at the same time in three other Genealogical Societies, still serve on all of their Boards. I worked as an Analyst and a Manager for AT&T for 30 years before retiring. Also, I was a Docent at the National Archives in Washington DC. I will be waiting for your apology and the clearing of my good name. In the future, CHECK IT OUT! 1. [OKMUSKOG] MORAN, CLAUNTS, COWAN, MONTGOMERY, HEYTZ, HAWS, HOOPER
    2. My great grandparents were Douglas MORAN and Annie CLAUNTS (the name may be spelled differently, that is how my mother spelled it) We were always told that Douglas was Irish and Annie was German. They lived in Muskogee after about 1905 until their deaths. Their children were as follows: Dealie (possibly a nickname) married Abe COWAN Ollie (possibly a nickname) married 1. Sam MONTGOMERY 2. Bill HEYTZ Vera married Charley MONTGOMERY (brother of Sam MONTGOMERY) Minnie married Burdick HEYTZ (Bill HEYTZ' brother) Jack married Nellie HAWS Wesley married Rose MONTGOMERY (Sam MONTGOMERY and Charley MONTGOMERY were her brothers) Ethel Elizabeth married James Albert HOOPER My grandmother, Ethel Elizabeth MORAN, born October 9, 1905 in Oktaha, Indian Territory, was the youngest of their seven children. We are trying to determine parentage for both Douglas and Annie, their marriage dates, etc. Also, we know nothing about any of their descendants, except for our little line. Since we know very little about this side of our mother's family, any information at all will help greatly, and any leads of any kind will be truly appreciated. As always, I am happy to share any information I have with any other family researchers. Sincerely, Raye Blackman

    2. Kathryn Swearingen
    3. I know I sent this out in early July but don't want to be removed from any of the lists. I just want to cover all bases (Lists). I will be traveling for a while and may not get back on the computer for several weeks. My name is Kathryn Holloway Swearingen. I have been researching for more than 25 years but not continuously, but have had an interest in my family history for more than 50 years. Thankfully, my grandmother and two of her sisters compiled some information on their family from WV and I received the small chest with their notes and some other items from my grandmother, Maude Stephens Mangum. My WV families from Gilmer, Lewis, Braxton, Randolph, other adjacent WV Counties and Augusta Co. VA areas: SCHOONOVER HAYMOND BYRNE CANFIELD/CAMFIELD WILSON WOOLWINE BAYLOR/ BAILOR Other Family Names: (Not sure if these were in WV) CALDER RUDDLE BLACKBURN CLELAND LINN MCHENRY (not my direct line) My gggrandmother Amanda Haymond (1820-1876) married: 1st) Isaac McHenry, in 1840 in Braxton Co. 2nd) Henry Schoonover, in 1850 in Gilmer Co. My line comes from Amanda's marriage to Henry Schoonover. Their youngest daughter, Lucy Samara Schoonover married Albert Peter Stephens in Muskogee, Indian Territory (now OK) in 1882. My grandmother Ora Maude Stephens (1898-1977) was the 6th child of this marriage. I haven't worked on these lines in quite some time and I am sure that I have left someone out. Hopefully, not many if any.
