I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, Sample Orr Besheer, who owned a hardware store in Haskell, Muskogee, OK, around 1880-1918. I'm writing to you folks because we're all the same family--just spelled differently (and none like the original, Brasseur!) His wife was Martha Jane (Gulley) and they had two children, Vivian (who died in the flu epidemic of 1918) and Royal (Roy) P. Besheer, my grandfather. The family had come from Missouri BEFORE the Sooners, or so the family story goes. Thanks

does anyone know of a family by the name of parks in the fort gibson area early 1900's. There was two sisters name maggie and laura for sure . Trying to trace my great grandmother Maggie Parks.
