Surnames: Stotts West Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UaB.2ACI/783 Message Board Post: Amos Franklin Stotts Graveside services for Amos Franklin Stotts, 86, were held Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m.at the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. He was born on May 13, 1916 in Alva to John Dolphus and Maud Anna May Marlin. He died February 23, in Sulphur. On January 18, 1960 he married Marvina West Stotts in Oklahoma City. She preceded in him in death on November 11, 2000. He proudly served our country in the Army in the Burma, Southeast Asia and other theaters during WWII. He attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1964. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in the Logistics Command. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Von Senden, St. Louis, Mo.; one step-daughter, Janie Howell, Madill; one step-son, Don Yarbrough and his wife, Linda, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Margaret Duer, one brother, J.D. Stotts and one aunt, Pearl Stotts.
