Joe Elam officiating. Interment was at the Hennepin Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. He was born Saturday, Jan. 7, 1922 in Seminole to Calvin Free Washburn and Lula Mae Edwards Washburn. He died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003 in Pauls Valley. He had lived in this area all of his life. He attended school at Springer and Woodland, graduating from Woodland High School. He worked as a rancher at Hennepin since 1937. He is survived by his two nieces, Donna Warren, Ada and Teresa Smith, Maxwell, N.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, C.F. Washburn, and a sister, Wilba Lee Washburn. Pallbearers were Ronnie Morton, Jim Wingo, Richie Morton, Buster Coppenbarger, Bob Wingo and John Townsend. Honorary pallbearers were Dick Morton, Johnny Warren, Jackie Casey and Richard Jolly.
