Interment was at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home. She was born on March 8, 1939 in Sulphur to Jake Billings and Emma Brown. She died February 22, 2003 in Sulphur. On November 28, 1959 she married Harold Bland in Las Vegas, Nev. At the age of two she moved to Simi Valley Calf. then moved back to Sulphur in 1980 where she lived the reminder of her life. She is survived by her husband, Harold Bland, of the home; one son, Richard Bland, Sulphur; one daughter, Terry Scholler, Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Kendale Schiewe, Mariah Bland, Chelsea Hughes and Chase Smith; one great grandchild, Logan Smith; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Opal Portwood and Ester Langeberg. Pallbearers were Jim Nye, Kevin Burns, Mike Jones, Rocky Hughes, John Russell, and Chris Hughes. Memorials can be made to Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.
