Parks, 73, were held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Vinita Avenue Church of Christ with Raymond Chaffin officiating. Interment was at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. He was born on Tuesday, July 16, 1929 in Mesa, Ariz. to Pink M. Parks and Avis Chaffin Parks. He died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002. In October, 1950 he married Leah Kinney in Sulphur. He grew up in Littlefield, Texas where he graduated from High School. He had lived in Sulphur over 50 years and worked for Braden Motors for 42 years. He is survived by his wife, Leah, of the home; three daughters, Terry Porter, Oklahoma City, Andrea Fritz, Livonia, N.Y., Peggy Parks, Stratford; four sons, Jack Parks, Stratford, Mitch Parks, Steven Parks and Stuart Parks, all of Sulphur; two sisters, Wanda Ousley, Dumas, Texas and Pat Anderson, Tolar, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant granddaughter, Stephaney Diane Parks. Pallbearers were Scott Parks, Heath Porter, Mitch Parks, Thomas Parks, Stuart Parks, Jack Parks, Brad Porter, and Steven Parks.
