We have a lift off!!!! Pat Norrell of the Davis branch Arbuckle Historical Society has come up with the answer. Here is her reply: ***************** Dennis, Eureka !! Elmo's Courts was located at 209 West Main, Davis. It is now Dianne's Tax Service. I remember it as Handley's Courts. Mr. Handley was a very small man who always wore long sleeved shirts and an black clip-on plastic bow tie.... When I saw the picture I said "It's either Babe's Tamales or Dianne's Tax Service". I'm not really that old, I think the old cars are older than me. Just a stroke of luck. Pat Thanks Angie for your efforts. That is great that you gave it a shot. I sure had no idea where it was. Another mystery solved. Thanks to all, Dennis
Dennis, I talked with my aunt and uncle (The Thomas' from Davis) and they have assured me Elmo Courts was in Sulphur west of the red light on main street and next to the Vendome Pool. The main building is still there (they say) although it has been remodeled. My aunt says she also has a picture in some of her mother's possessions.
