Gist, 91, will be held Thursday, Oct. 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Brad Ransom officiating. Interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. She was born on Sunday, Dec. 4, 1910 in Lhaso, Okla. to John Ed Little and Fairy O. Love Little. She died Monday, Oct. 28 in Sulphur. On March 22, 1930 she married Roy J. Gist in Sulphur he preceded her in death on March 10, 1986. She lived in the Sulphur and Mill Creek area all of her life and graduated from Sulphur High School in 1927. She and her husband owned and operated a farm and ranch in the Mill Creek area. They moved to Sulphur in 1983. She worked as a house parent at OSD for several years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian and probably her greatest joy in life, other than her family, was giving to and helping others. She is survived by her son, James Gist, Oklahoma City; a grandson, Eddie Gist, Bixby; sister-in-law, Esther Runyan, Ardmore; two nieces, Sheila Altom, Ardmore and Bernice Metz, Sequin, Wa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Edna Little, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jake and Georgia Gist. Pallbearers will be Glen Leming, Delford Fox, Dick Gallemore, Hershel Higgins, Ray Dodd, Waddell Altom. Honorary pallbearer will be Ellery Johnson
