Carr, 86, were held Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 2:00 p.m. with the family officiating. Interment was at the McGee Cemetery under the direction of Cowley Krien Funeral Home. She was born on July 25, 1916 in Ada to Leona C. Pannell and Charles Brown Gordon. She died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. On January 4, 1941 she married H.E. (Ed) Carr in Atoka. She attended grade school at Wostel, and graduated from high school at Vanoss. She attended Hill's Business College in Oklahoma City. She lived in Midwest City until 1976 when her and her husband moved to Sulphur where she lived the remainder of her life. She was Unitarian by faith. She is survived by her husband, H.E. Ed Carr, of the home; one son, Roger Evan Carr, Greenville, Texas; one brother, James Gordon, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Clara Gazaway, Del City and Chestine Crane, Stillwater. She was preceded in death by one son, Joel Lee Carr, two brothers, Chester and Charles Gordon, two sisters, Jessie Gordon and Viola Choate and her parents.
