Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was at the Ramer Family Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home. He was born on January 30, 1936 in Norris, Okla. to Elmer Frank "Steve" Ramer and Verna Dye Ramer. He died December 27, 2002 in Norman, Okla. On November 24, 1955 he married Pat McAlester in Leflore. He moved to Sulphur in 1958 where he and his wife owned and operated an Auto Parts store for many years. He was a volunteer fireman and a former member of the Police Department and Sheriff's Departments. He was supervisor of Ramer Oil Company and was engaged in other endeavors. He was Assembly of God by Faith. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; his mother, Vern Dye Ramer, Sulphur; a son, Jerry Ramer, Sulphur; three grandchildren, Justin Wayne Ramer, Jessy Wayne Ramer, and Cali Jo Ramer, all of Sulphur; three brothers, Don Ramer and his wife, Lois, Joe Ramer and his wife, Linda, all of Sulphur and Jerry Ramer and his wife Nell, Omaha, Neb. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents. Pallbearers were his nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Pet Jones, Tuffy Lee, Tiny Day, Pete Runyan, Sammy Jones, Louie Harmon, Jim Freeman, David, Pitman, Charlie Tingle, George Grantham, Novice Thompson and all member past and present of the Sulphur Fire Department, local law enforcement agencies and all his friends from the coffee shop and his customers.
