Interment was at the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. She was born on June 19, 1919 in the Drake Community to Dio Clease and Oma (Runyan) Jackson. She died September 4 in Stonebridge Health Center in Austin Texas. On October 24, 1936 she married Herman C. Perdue in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1977. She was Baptist by faith and opened her home to many people over the years and always had someone living with her. She enjoyed learning and talking about her family history. Her "job" in life was to be mother and a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Woolbright, Austin, Texas; three sons, Jerry Don Perdue, Austin, Texas, J.B. Perdue, Oklahoma City, and Randy Perdue, Laguna Park, Texas; seven grandaughters; five grandson; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jim R. Perdue, one brother, Jay Jackson; five sisters, Corene Courtney, Amy Lund, Chris Vaughn, Vera Peak and Oma Jackson; a host of nieces and nephews.
