Stephen Shelton officiating. Interment was at the Sowers cemetery, Irving, Texas under the direction of Chism-Smith Funeral Home. She was born on January 26, 1922 in Olustee to George and Mamie Jackson. She died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. On June 11, 1942 she married Tyson Farris in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1997. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1941 and then attended East Central State College in Ada in 1942 -1943. She is survived by five daughters, Donna Stovall, Euless, Texas; Karen Delmonico, State College, Pa., Janelle Morgan and Patsy Kirkpatrick, both of Irving, Texas and Betsy Farris, Dallas, Texas; two sons, Neal Farris, Dallas, Texas and Gerald Farris, Irving, Texas; three sisters, Lyla Seghers, Tulsa, Norma Welch, Oklahoma City; and Joan Collins, Manteca, Calf.; one brother, Jim Jackson, Tulsa; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Jackson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Irving Health Care Foundation for Cardiac Care Expansion, 1901 McArthur Blvd., Irving, Texas 75061.
