    3. I have a great grandfather named Theodore Franklin "Dutch" THASSLER (a German Immigrant) who was an engineer for the Santa Fe in the years about 1889-1900 with runs in the South, out of Texas. After 1900 he was a stationary Engineer for the Santa Fe. He worked the Boiler room at the Baths in Sulphur Springs (Now city of Sulphur in Oklahoma). Later after he got land in the land rush, he was a still a stationary Engineer for Santa Fe at the college in Edmond, OK (Now Central State University) and the last I heard the Santa Fe was still running the Boiler room at the School that was about 1988. Great Grandpa worked for Santa Fe all his life. He died in 1922 in Edmond, Oklahoma. At the age of 21 in 1890 there was newspaper article about him being the youngest Railroad Engineer in the U.S. This is only a family story about the news article as I have not found the article yet but still looking. Can anyone help? I have never been able to find out anything about him. A kind professor from Oklahoma sent me an article written in 1885 about him that was in a book and that is all I have. Lee
