Taylor, 76, Sulphur will be Thursday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Willard McCartney officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. He died July 14, 2003, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31,1927, in Mauldin, Ark., to Nettie and Archie Taylor Sr. He married Dorothy Frantz on Dec. 24, 1945, in Fresno, Calif. He moved to the Bakersfield, Fresno and Selma, Calif., area where he was in the grocery business for many years. Taylor then worked for the Kern County, Calif., Sheriff's Department before his retirement. In 1992, he moved to Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Geary, in 2002. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Ronnie, Bakersfield; a sister, Marcelene Collins, Fresno; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Ken Davis, Dennis Brown, James Coppenhaver, Randall Kirby, Ronald Frantz and Mike Frantz. Honorary pallbearers are Perry Frantz, Charles Frantz, Ron Brown and Jerry Scott.
