Duck, 80, Austin, Texas, formerly of Sulphur, were held Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Leveridge and Rev. Eddie Malphrus of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was held at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. She was born to Charles Deshazer and Rilee Luker Deshazer on Tuesday, July 10, 1923. She died in Austin, Texas Friday, August 15, 2003. She married Dwight Duck on February 24, 1963 in Miami. He preceded her in death in July of 1981. She was affiliated with Faith Baptist for the Deaf and retired with Food Services at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She was a member of Senior Citizen Deaf Association, Lone Star Alumni Deaf Womens Organization and Oklahoma Association of the Deaf. She grew up in Mangum and attended Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She lived in Sulphur several years before moving to Austin in 1996. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Jerry McGaugh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Brenda Duck and Tony and Denise Duck, all of Sulphur; two sisters, Louvenia Higgs, Santa Anna, Calif., Thelma Frazier, Justin, Calif.; one brother, Alvin Caster, Eugene, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were Jeff Shirley, Curt Duck, Zac Stevens, Aaron Duck, Toby Todd and Michael Franks.
