My great-grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Hill, Jr. ... born about 1864??? Possibly TENN maybe TEXAS .... Because he was a junior, I can only say his father was "Sr." I have not been able to find ANY other info on the "Senior's HILL" family that I can prove. Ben, Jr. and his wife Emaline Brazil had at least 3 of their children in Hunt County and Kaufman County, TX in the 1890's(?). Ben Jr.'s only daughter, Rosie, married Robert Lee Barnett (born TX) in Pontotoc County, Indian Territory in 1903. They both lived in Indian Territory near what is now Davis, OK Robert's father was John BARNETT married to Elizabeth RAY. John and Elizabeth married in Shelby County, AL about 1868. Elizabeth's family are listed there in the 1850 Census under THOMAS RAY. Well, I HOPE!!! that something sounds familiar to your research!!!! Please let me know!!!!!! I do have more dated information of Ben Hill, Jr's family from his married life to now ... but not much backward. I have very little "backwards" on the Barnett's. .. just forward. I have the 1850 census record on RAY family and some family lore and some 1880 census .... .... but not much ANYTHING!!!!!! you can help me with will be greatly appreciated!!!! I have searched off and on for 20 years. Only recently I found the 1850 ALA Census record for RAY. I am hoping that I will be able to find John Barnett in 1850 ALA Census.
