She was buried at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Baum. Mrs. Collins was born July 1, 1921, to Jackson and Minnie Mae (Nabors) Treece at Baum and died Nov. 16 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She grew up in Baum, graduated from Dickson High School and married her childhood sweetheart, Palmer H. Collins, July 29, 1940, at Ada. They moved to Walla Walla, Wash., when Mr. Collins was serving in the military, then moved to the Los Angeles, Calif., area where they raised their children. Mrs. Collins was a housewife and mother for most of her life. Her employment outside the home consisted of working for Sears occasionally during the school months so she could save her money and use it for "family fun" during the summer months when the children were home. She and Mr. Collins returned to this area in 1985 to live. Her survivors include her husband of the home; three daughters, Betty Lou Prez, Downey, Calif., Tricia Lee Welch, Boise, Idaho, and Jackie Frye Adamson, Sherman, Texas; a sister, Lucille Burman, San Bernardino, Calif., 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gloria Sue Jacintho, a brother and three sisters. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
