Interment will be at the McGee Cemetery in Stratford under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville. He was born on April 21, 1913 in Paris, Ark. to Harvey and Mahaley Cowell. He is survived by one son, Billy Cowell and his wife, Ann, Seminole; two daughters, Mary Hilliard, Sulphur and Peggy Wilson, Noble; three brothers, Al Cowell, Murl Cowell and Earl V. Cowell and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erry Lizzy Cowell, in August 1960; one son, John Harvey Cowell, in May 1981 and one daughter, Willie Faye Cowell, in July 2001. Pallbearers will be Jay Nichols, Tim Nichols, Michael Nichols, Jeff Cowell, Joe Don Hilliard, Chuck Herzer and Ronnie Herzer.
