I have a great uncle who was born on 12 Oct 1904. I've been told he was born on an Indian Reservation in Eufaula, OK. But I see on the OK GenWeb page that Eufaula County wasn't formed until 1907. My question is... where the heck do I go or where do I look for more info? Were birth records kept on reservations? How would I find out which reservation? Also, I've been told that the father of this uncle (or his father) was a Chinese Immigrant who might have worked on railroads. So I assume this would mean that the mother was indian. My question is... was interacial marriages common at the time in the area? Apparently, going by the childrens SS applications, the family migrated ' OK 1904 TX 1906 AR 1908 Was this migration common? Any help appreciated.
