CLARENCE ED MAXEY was born Feb. 24, 1904 in Shirley, AR to Willey and Francis Anna (Hensley) Maxey, married Sally Sisemore, and died July 21, 2001 in Checotah. Services were July 24 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survivors include a grandson, Eddie Maxey of Dallas, TX and a granddaughter, Cansance Maxey of Mesquite, TX; a daughter-in-law, Eloise Maxey of Mosquite, TX; two great-granddaughters and a great grandson; a brother, Virgil Maxey of Checotah; three sisters, Francis Cates of Checotah, Iva Strong of Checotah and Hayward Woodall of KS.
