VIRDIE PENDLEY was born Nov. 16, 1896 in Indian Territory near Hanna and died Dec 27, 1975. Services were held Dec. 31 in the First Baptist Church of Hanna followed by burial in the Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta. Survivors include his wife, Dovie of Hanna; seven children: sons, Rufus and Howard of Carmichael, CA, Harold of Oklahoma City and Bill of Eufaula, and daughters, Veola DeShong of Tulsa, Joy White of Barnsdall and Nina Martin of Kansas City, MO; 18 grandchildren and 18 great=grandchildren; three brothers, David of Clinton, OK and Babe and Robert Pendley of Eufaula; and a sister, Onie Clay of Oklahoma City.
