GERALD D. “JERRY” BEAN was born in Clarksville, AR on June 21, 1920 to George and Jessie (Dobbins) Bean, and deid July 27, 2001 at Muskogee. Services were July 31 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Checotah followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Hampton Mortuary, Checotah. He married Pauline Myrick of Agra. Two sons were born to them. The marriage ended in divorce. He later married Ruby Richwine (Gordon) Bean Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Ruby who resides in a convalescent home in Checotah; sons, Don Bean and wife Thelma of Agra, OK and Bruce Bean and wife Myra of Chandler, OK; sisters, Lucille Hale of Checotah, Nina Jo Quinn and Patsy Crocker and husband Charles of Elk Grove, CA, Wilma Robinson and husband Dan of Citrus Hts. CA and Wanda Weed and husband, Tom of yerington, NV; four grandchildren, Jerry Don Bean, Janie Calkins, Rhoda Bean and Julie Key; 6 great-grandchildren, Jerod Bean, Ashley Bean, Chelsi Calkins, Kason Key, Coileman Key and Carder Key; brother-in-law, Gordon Richwine and wife Monte of Nobles, OK; step-children, Mary Dobson, Joyce Doyle, James Fordon and Lary Gordon, and step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Louise Lovett-Flud of Checotah and Jean Rigney of Hawthorne, CA.
