WARD was born Oct. 14, 1929 at Eufaula to Johnny A. and Lee (Rose) Hamlin, married Red Anderson at Clayton, NM and Howard Ward at Oklahoma City, and died Tuesday Sept. 11, 2001 at Quinton. Services were Sept. 13 at Longtown Full Gospel Church followed by burial at Bower Cemetery under the direction of Black’s Shipman & Merritt Funeral Home, Eufaula. Sruvivors include three brothers, Doc Hamlin and wife Sherri of Hermingston, OR, J.E. (Red) Hamlin and wife Mary of Quinton and Dale Hamlin and wife Muriel of Qinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and two sisters, Crete Ward and Emily Pearce, and Emitt Buck Hamlin and James Hamlin. THE INDIAN JOURNAL, Thursday September 20, 2001, page 14
