Services were Sept 18 at the First Free Will Baptist Churck of Checotah followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah Survivors include his wife of 54 years; two sons, Memphis Thompson and his wife Lavette of Checotah and Andy Thompson of Norman; two daughters, Vena Renee Poe of Lawton, and Lisa Renell Ball of Tulsa; two brothers, L.J.
