    3. SueAnn, Oklahoma did not exist as a state until 1907, so no vital records until after that time. Even then, compliance was spotty. However, your uncle probably got a delay birth certificate when he was an adult. Most adults did. (Even my ggrandmother, who was born in IT in 1888 had a delayed birth certificate.) If you know his birth date, you should be able to order a copy of his delayed birth certificate from the Oklahoma vital records. If you don't know his birth date, you might try searching online for your uncle in the Social Security Death Index. It is available online through several sites.
