(HAYS) THOMPSON was born July 1, 1925 in Bower, OK to George Washington and Nora Jane (Hays) Thompson, married Maggie Lea Pratt on Dec 31, 1951 in Ft. Smith, AR, and died Dec 4, 2003 at Community Hospital Lakeview. Funeral services were Dec 6 at the Kelley Memorial Chapel of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home followed by burial at Bower Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of the home in Eufaula; daughters, Sandra Butzbach and husband Alburt Jr of Tonkawa, Nelda Brooke, Margaret Standridge, and Nancy Phillips and husband Kennan all of Eufaula; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters, Mashell Dawn Corley and Angela Kay Corley; and his brother, Raymond Hays. THE INDIAN JOURNAL, Thursday, December 11, 2003, page 9
