Betty Miller 1939 - 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betty Miller, 65 year old longtime Checotah area resident, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in Tulsa, OK following lingering health problems. She was born on June 17, 1939 to Henry Louis and Mary (Edwards) Branch in Stidham, OK. Betty had owned and operated Betty's Cafe', and was a member of the Checotah Church of Christ. She was married to Freddie Miller, who preceded her in death in August of 1992. Also preceding her death were her parents, son Rocky Lane, brothers Ed and Timothy Branch, and sister Pamela Branch. Betty's survivors include her son Bob Lane and wife Alisa, of Checotah; daughter LaTanya Ferguson, of El Dorado, AR; brother, Stanley Branch , of Poteau; sister Janet Rorex, of Durant; aunt Nadine Funberg, of Checotah; 8 grandchildren including 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Checotah Church of Christ with Everett Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
