Greetings List, My names are, GOODIN, LOWE, CHAPMAN, JOHNSON, SMITH. My 4th gr-grandparents George & Lizzie Goodin are said to have been from Tuckabatchee & Tuskegee, Alabama.They are both listed as dead on my 3rd gr-grandmothers(Abbie Goodin-Lowe) creek roll appilaction.It is dated 1899.As i look at the app.it looks to me like the Goodins were in Alabama at the end of the 1700's. My question to you all......would George and Lizzie be their given names or could they have taken these names when the white man came ?Where would i go to look for this kind of information? I am pretty new to this so anything would be so great.Thank you all, Kathy in CA.
