Funeral services were Dec 22 at the Checotah Church of Christ followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Survivors include four sons, Billy Ray Lewis and wife Shirlene of Midwest City, Charles Lewis and wife Linda of Yellville, AR, Sonny Lewis and wife Debbie of Lone Oak, TX and Dale Lewis and wife Alice of Muskogee; one brother, Wilford Helter of IL; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one son, Carlas Lewis and three brothers.
