Texanna Cemetery is located south of Checotah, OK and north or Eufaula, it is east of Hwy 69. My husband has family buried at Texanna, and we are both were born in Checotah, but live in Calif. I have connections in Checotah. Hope I can help. Wanda wtackett@lightspeed.net

There were a number of cemeteries in the area of Texanna that had to be moved when Lake Eufaula was built. The town of Texanna is no longer a town, that is there is still a community there but no businesses. The corps of engineers moved the cemeteries. Do you know the name of the cemetery you are looking for? Or what names are you looking for? I do remember the name Fishertown as being one of the cemeteries. Have you looked at the list of cemeteries on the county website? I would be glad to help search if I knew the names you are looking for. What we call "Texanna Road" is about 5 miles north of Eufaula. East of there is where the town of Texanna was. There may still be some cemeteries in the area.
