FLOSSIE L. SEWELL was born April 8, 1901 in Blue Mountain, AR to Andrew Jackson and Minnerva (Rogers) Ritchie, married first Andrew Kirby on March 17, 1917 and second to Finis Sewell, and died July 9, 2001 in Tulsa. Services were held July 13 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah. Survivors include two sons, D.E. Kirby of Checotah and Kenneth Kirby of Altus, OK; two daughters, Eloise Morrison of Portland, OR and Faye Dornan of Checotah, Thirty grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and second husbands; a son, Shelton Kirby; two daughters, Mamie Burdine and Clara Harr and a step-son, Leslie Sewell.
