OLICE ‘DICK’ DIXSON was born April 25, 1910 at Maud, OK to Marshell and Maud Dixcon, married Blondena Scribner on Dec. 22, 1934 at Guthrie, OK and died June 14, 2001 in Eufaula. Services were held June 18 at Kelley memorial Chapel followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Black’s Shipman & Merritt Funeral Home of Eufaula. Survivors include his wife of the home in Eufaula; a daughter, Dena Owens and husband Tim of Yukon; a son, Melvin Dixson and wife Jennifer of Springfield, MO; three sisters, Bernice Horton of Oklahoma City, Wanda Wilson of CA and Lovetta Jackson of Duncan; two brothers, O. B. Dixson of Oklahoma City and Bob Dixson of Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Olice Dixson Jr, and a brother, Happy Dixson. THE INDIAN JOURNAL Thursday June 28, 2001
