MILLARD A. BURGESS was born April 16, 1921 to James R and Erie (McCullar) Burgess and died July 18, 2001 in Muskogee. Services were held at the Hanna Cemetery with burial under the direction of Black’s Shipman & Merritt Funeral home, Eufaula. Survivors include a brother, Jimmie Burgess and wife Bobbie of Eufaula, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois Urghart and Loeta Hall; and a brother, Herschel Burgess. THE INDIAN JOURNAL, Thursday, July 26, 2001
