She had four brothers, Joseph, Julius, William D. and Clarence. Mrs. Pittman was born a few miles east of her present home and lived there until she was married. She attended Eufaula Bording School and went to church at Tuskegee Baptist Church where her grandfather, Samuel Hawkins and her mother Kizzie Hawkins were charter members. She is now a member of Stidham Baptist Church. She was married to Samuel Lewis Pittman of Fame, Indian Territory by Reverend L.G. McIntosh on January 16, 1908 and moved to her present home one and one-half miles North of Stidham School. Mr. and Mrs. Pittman celebrated their 50th. Wedding anniversiary on January 16, 1958. Mr. Pittman died June 8, 1964. Mrs. Pittman has five daughters, Mrs. Lucille Hallum, Haskell, Ramona Johnson and Estes McIntosh, Tulsa, Nadine Buck and Charlotte Turner, Eufuala, four sons, Langston, Lincoln, Billy Ray and Glenn, all of Eufaula and one step-son, Vonnie of California. Twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She has lived in her present hoe for the past 68 years, and stays very busy doing her housework, laundry, cooks three meals each day, takes care of her chickens, and works in her flowers and vegetable garden.
