Pernussa's birthplace is listed as Mississippi, is this correct ? I located a Jacob Cotner with a wife named Sarah in 1850 on an index for Scott co. Ark. but I have been unable to verify this as yet. I believe that Ancestry .Com. has the wrong link listed for this one or something. I swear thier Indexes are the worst I've ever seen but the fact that they are listed at all means that they were somewhere in Ark. in 1850 . There were also several Traylor's listed in the same Twp but just as with the Cotner link it wasn't working either and when I looked at the actual census pages they were not listed on them so I believe Ancestry has the wrong county listed, so if we find one of these families we more than likely will find the other one near by. I did notice that two of these Scott Co. Traylor's were also listed as being born in Mississippi and one had a wife by the name of Ruth Ann which caught my eye sense there was a Smalley child on the 1870 census with the name Ruth Ann. I haven't been able to find anything usefull in the 1860 census so I suspect that we have to search for Taylor's instead of Traylor's, a common mistake . I'll let you know if I find anything else . Pat Munroe Board Admin. Thanks Pat! I sure appreciate your assistance. I sit here at my kitchen table between the stacks of papers, printed emails and index listings "gnawing" on possibilities all the time. Being a "newbie" to ancestral research I always appreciate the wisdom of others. It is nice to have "objective" opinions to assist me. Thanks again, Kevin....
