I know just what you mean about those "elusive" ancestors. I have only found my Clubb family kinfolk on one census in 1900. Nothing before or after that which I can reasonably say are mine. I did find a school census in Oklahoma where some of the children were listed in 1912 and Frank Clubb was head of household but nothing else. I know they were pretty migratory between Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. It can make ancestral research very frustrating, especially when there are no other researching my particular line.
