Pat Munroe Board Admin Hi Pat, I found my GrGreatGrandmother ,as a child, in Sebastian Co Arkansas on the 1870 census. Her mother is Pernussa Smalley. Living with them is Mother to Pernussa Nancy Traylor. Living with Nancy Traylor is Martha Cotner. It is suggested that Martha Cotner, later Coker, is the daughter of Jacob Cotner and Sarah Traylor, sister to Pernussa. Kevin...

    3. Keven, there were Traylors in Greene, Howell counties Mo. about 1850 or 1860 that had been in Ark. previously . I will look them up for you if you think they might be yours. 3. Kevin, on the 1870 Sebastian Co. Ark. census Center Twp. Pernussa's birthplace is listed as Mississippi, is this correct ? I located a Jacob Cotner with a wife named Sarah in 1850 on an index for Scott co. Ark. but I have been unable to verify this as yet. I believe that Ancestry .Com. has the wrong link listed for this one or something. I swear thier Indexes are the worst I've ever seen but the fact that they are listed at all means that they were somewhere in Ark. in 1850 . There were also several Traylor's listed in the same Twp but just as with the Cotner link it wasn't working either and when I looked at the actual census pages they were not listed on them so I believe Ancestry has the wrong county listed, so if we find one of these families we more than likely will find the other one near by. I did notice that two of these Scott Co. Traylor's were also listed as being born in Mississippi and one had a wife by the name of Ruth Ann which caught my eye sense there was a Smalley child on the 1870 census with the name Ruth Ann. I haven't been able to find anything usefull in the 1860 census so I suspect that we have to search for Taylor's instead of Traylor's, a common mistake . I'll let you know if I find anything else .
