Mabel worked long and hard all her life. After coming to Wichita from Oklahoma at a young age to work at Boeing, her resume included working at St. Francis Hospital for many years as a nurse assistant on the OB/GYN floor, then moving on to Burn Technician in the St. Francis Burn Unit. After retirement Mabel spent many years in childcare at Metropolitan Baptist Church and United Methodist Church. Mabel is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Linda Hill of Winter Springs, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Tommie Jean and Gary Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, David and Judy Hagan; brother, Bill Hagan; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Bob Wile! s all of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She had a big heart and was loved and will be missed by many, including her church family at Metropolitan Baptist Church and her extended family at Rolling Hills Baptist Church. As an alternative to flowers if you like, donations can be made in Mabel's name to the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. George Brinsfield, about 35 Years old was thrown from a wagon at her home, three miles South of Vivian Thursday night of last week and met with instant death when she struck upon her head, breaking her neck. The family had just returned from prayer meeting. Mr Brinsfield had alighted from the wagon and had handed his wife the lines to hold when the dogs began fighting under the horses feet scaring the animals and causing the runaway that ended in disaster. Mrs. Brinsfield's six months old baby was in her arms at the time and while thrown with its mother out of the wagon was not hurt. Besides her husband the deceased left 6y small children to mourn her death. ************ This woman is supposed to be my g-g-grandma, Melissa Redding Brinsfield, AKA Liz, lizzie ???? I can not find out where she is buried, can someone help?
