Our line is related to Isaac Shephard Bailey who died in Mellette, Oklahoma. He was from Tennessee before moving to Arkansas and then finally Oklahoma. He was married twice -- Delilah Maynard Bailey (had 10 children together), they divorced and then he married Katie Bartlett Bailey (had six children together). Delilah supposedly lived to be 101 years old. I haven't found proof of that yet. Family researcher who stated this has passed away and can't find where she found that tidbit. -Robin --- KRobertsInCA@aol.com wrote: > > In a message dated 10/20/2004 11:02:35 A.M. I know just what you mean about those "elusive" ancestors. I have only found my Clubb family kinfolk on one census in 1900. Nothing before or after that which I can reasonably say are mine. I did find a school census in Oklahoma where some of the children were listed in 1912 and Frank Clubb was head of household but nothing else. I know they were pretty migratory between Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. It can make ancestral research very frustrating, especially when there are no other researching my particular line. Who were you looking for in Mo? I would be happy to keep the names and let you know if I run across anything. Kevin...

I just got back from the Genealogy room at a close by library. Thankfully, they have the Microfilm for the 1850 Arkansas Census. I checked the index and the State index has it as Cottner. On the census, however, it appears as Cotner. Enumeration is as follows: 1870 Scott Co. Arkansas Washburn Township Household and Dwelling numbers are : 408 Cotner, Jacob 27 M Farmer Mo (?) Kevin I checked every page on the 1850 and 160 census for Scott Co. Ark. but neither the Jacob Cotner family nor the Traylor families listed on the index were in it. As I said before the fact that they were listed on the index means that they are somewhere in Ark. but not in Scott Co. as the index says. I will keep them in mind as I am searching for others in Ark. and hopefully I will run onto them in the future. Hey, Robin Kesterson-Bailey here. I live in Bakersfield also! My family from Stigler/Porum/Muskogee, Oklahoma area. Husband's line from Eufaula/Indianola/McAlester area. His family came to Arvin, CA in the '50s (BAILEY/BECK/BURGAN)(for 30-some odd years), then moved to Bakersfield. Mine came to Earlimart/Pixley/McFarland/Delano, CA in the '40s. KESTERSON/PHILLIPS and other associated lines. -Robin --- DOVIE HAZELWOOD <loveydovie@bak.rr.com> wrote: > SMALL WORLD BEV,I LIVE IN BAKERSFIELD.THANK YOU > DOVIE > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Beverly Birdwell" <beverlybirdwell@msn.com> > To: <OKMCINTO-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Monday, October 18, 2004 4:31 PM > Subject: Re: [OKMCINTO] Blair Family > > > > My mother was born & raised in McIntosh Co, our > family still owns property > > there granted my ggrandfather in the Cherokee > relocation, I live on the > > edge of Bakersfield.
