    3. Hello Sandra, You are not alone I assure you. It just seems that way when everyone is so quiet. I had hoped when I joined this list that I might find out something about my husbands family. We have been told that his grandmother Nancy C Haskett is Cherokee Indian but haven't been able to fine any information on her family. WILLIAM ALEXANDER1 JONES was born November 1854 in Ga, and died February 17, 1929 in Dallas, Tx. He married NANCY CAROLINE HASKETT in Marion Co, Ark. She was born January 1858 in Ark, and died October 11, 1903 in McIntosh Co,Ok. Children of WILLIAM JONES and NANCY HASKETT are: i. BABY GIRL2 JONES. ii. CHARLOTTE JONES, b. September 1879, Ark; m. JOE HENDERSON. 2. iii. WILLIAM HOMER JONES, b. April 1882, MO. 3. iv. LAVINA MARYBELLE JONES, b. February 20, 1884, Ark; d. June 25, 1961, Yuma, Arizona. 4. v. JOHN FARMER JONES, b. October 16, 1885, Mountain Home, Ark; d. January 11, 1954, Happy Hollow, Lenna, Oklahoma. vi. LONA MARTHA JONES, b. September 1888, Ind Terr, Ok. 5. vii. ANDREW HUBBARD JONES, b. February 1890, Ark. 6. viii. NETTIE LOU JONES, b. February 22, 1891, Ind Terr, Ok; d. February 15, 1949, Ravia, Oklahoma (Johnston County). (My mother-in-law) 7. ix. BEAULAH A JONES, b. September 1896, Ind Terr, Ok. 8. x. CAM DELBERT JONES, b. Private, Ind Terr, Ok. Any information on these people would be greatly appreaciated. I'm willing to share what I have on the descendants. 1. [OKMCINTO] HENSON
    2. Louise Hill
    3. I just joind this list and am hoping you may be able to help me find info about my great-great-grandfather.....specifically his name...:-) My great-grandmother was Mary HENSON, b. 1861, McIntosh Co, d. 1907 in McIntosh Co., m. John A. BIAS in Ozark Co., MO 1871. I found a census record of a Nancy HENSON with daughter Mary (birthdate matched) and son William in Ozark Co., MO. Unfortunately apparently the father had died before this census was taken. Every researcher of our line has gotten stumped with this and we can go no further until we find his name. Any help most appreciated. 3. Joe, That sounds like the Weogufkee Cemetery. 1. [OKMCINTO] Cemetery Question
    2. Joe Wood
    3. Hello List, My ggrandmother, Parthenia M Davis Spillers, is buried in a cemetery located outside of Hanna and close to the Indian Nation Turnpike. I have been told that it is an Indian cemetery. Does anyone know the name of the cemetery, the history of the cemetery and if it is an Indian Cemetery. At the time of her death my ggrandmother lived in Weleetka. My ggrandparents were in the Hanna area around 1901 and they had a son who died in there before they moved. My ggrandmother wanted to be buried next to her son. So there would be two Spillers buried in the cemetery near Hanna. Thanks Joe

    3. Sandy, If you still need the obituary information. The Indian Journal would probably have printed a copy of the obituary you need, but the best way to get a copy would probably be to get it from the newspaper archives at the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City. These addresses came from the McIntosh County GenWeb page: Indian Journal (Oklahoma's Oldest Newspaper) 109 S Main St Eufaula, OK 74432-2875 Phone: (918) 689-2191 Mcintosh County Democrat 201 W Okmulgee Ave Checotah, OK 74426-2408 Phone: (918) 473-2313 Oklahoma Historical Society: http://www.ok-history.mus.ok.us/ OKLAHOMA HISTORICAL SOCIETY 2100 N.
