    3. Hi, I've been looking for information about a Felix Britton MORRIS and Fanny MINOT who lived in McIntosh County. They had a bunch of children, I gather, around the 1880's. Our ancestors are their son, Jesse B. MORRIS, who became an attorney in Stidham in 1915, and Myrtle May Douglas. The Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula has an F.B. Morris born June 5, 1857, died September 29, 1924. Susan in California

    3. Hi Sandra, I had a homicide to get details on from central Arkansas, ca. 1908. The local paper had published continuously from those days but said it had no archives that far back. In my case, the Arkansas Gazette of the day had a front page story which was found in the State Archives at Little Rock. I pinned down the date, then looked at MY library for papers in publication, found the one for that area, got nowhere with current management, got a suggestion to check the State Archives in Little Rock and then got a researcher through them .... who found it !! ...fairly roundabout, but maybe something like that would work for your story hunt. The current coroner and the current court clerk never answered my inquiries to them, even with SASE used. ron in CA At 09:07 PM 01/11/2000 -0600, you wrote: >Researching Owen and Atkisson (Adkission?--different spellings) >families. 3. Hello, Glad to see the list is working, not many postings. I am working on surnames of Stone, Christopher, Bolding, Golladay and Ramsey. I have a theory that I might run in to searchers on at least two of those names here. Maybe in the new year. ron in CA At 09:25 PM 01/11/2000 EST, you wrote: >Not much, I was new to this list and just wanted to know if this was a real >new list where there were just a couple people on or if this list has been >going awhile and there were lots of people on it? > >I am doing great. 3. Well, thought I'd put my two cents in. McIntosh Co has a great site. I'm interested in the above families and also the Choates and anyone related. Do any of you have ancesters in the Fame and Stidham area? My Dad grew up out there with 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Dad was Ted (Toad) Pullen 1900-1990. His brother Earl played baseball for a team there when he was growing up. Does anyone have information about this team orr any pictures of it? Seems like he had a team picture but don't know what happened to it. My Dads family are all gone now but would love to hear anything about their good ol days. They were good friends with Druy Williams, the Selfs, Pendergrafts? Blairs, and many others. Any info appreciated. Have a lot of old McIntosh Co. pictures of people (my mothers) i can put on if anyone interested. My Mother is Ethel Coppick Pullen and lives with me now. She was raised in Eufaula. Thanks.
