Sue Ann I saw your post and wondered about your Sanders line. My grandfather Andrew Sanders was born in 1880 in what would become Braggs OK. He enrolled as a Cherokee on the Guion Miller line and was accepted through his aunt, Peggy Sanders Blair, aka Margaret Blair. Her parents were Caroline Catron and Jesse Sanders, if I've got this straight. My Gfather enrolled and was accepted on the Dawes, even though I've had difficulty documenting his father, Sickatawia, aka Sicky Sanders, aka Cicero Sanders. Anyway, if any of this sounds familiar, please drop a note. To reach the town of Hanna from the east you would go 19 miles west on Hwy 9 to what is known as the "4 mile corner". You would turn left there onto Hwy 51 and go 4 miles to Hanna. The cemetery is approximately 1/2 mile east of main street (which is one block long). The road is paved east of town and there is a sign for the turn-off to the cemetery. If you are coming from the west of Hwy 9, the distance you would travel east from Wetumka is also about 19 or 20 miles to the 4 mile corner. ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Buckmann <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2000 5:48 PM Subject: [OKMCINTO] Hanna Cemetery?? > > "I am interested in learning where the Hanna or Honna Cemetery is > > located. Thanks to those that responded to my request. However, my gg grandmother was not listed. If, indeed she is buried there, then she must be in an unmarked grave or in one of the graves that is marked only with a fieldstone. Hello list: My name is Bob Rush. I and the son of Lonie Viola Evans Rush, and the grandson of Vina Phillips Evans. The great-grandson of Rev. Pal Phillips (Pahosa Harjo). This family extended into the Posey family. All of these families were in McIntosh County before 1900 and in the early part of the century. I have quite a bit of information on these families, but am still researching for additional information. I would be happy to exchange information with any researchers on these family lines.

I had a paternal grandmother who was apparently quite a woman ! She was one of the many children of Andrew and Ailey Adeline Bolding , (nee Miller) now resting in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Her name was Betty Bolding. (given formal names of Elizabeth Florentine) b. 1876, I T , I will dig out my Bolding material and see about Wm C. however, I doubt that my info would include where he boarded, but the size of the families in those days with MY ancestors at least, would suggest that they ALL developed a good boarding house reach so as not to starve ... : ) ron in CA At 04:41 PM 01/12/2000 -0800, you wrote: >Hi Ron >I noticed you and a Bolding in your list of names. Greetings List, My names are, GOODIN, LOWE, CHAPMAN, JOHNSON, SMITH. My 4th gr-grandparents George & Lizzie Goodin are said to have been from Tuckabatchee & Tuskegee, Alabama. They are both listed as dead on my 3rd gr-grandmothers(Abbie Goodin-Lowe) creek roll appilaction. It is dated 1899.As i look at the app.it looks to me like the Goodins were in Alabama at the end of the 1700's. My question to you all......would George and Lizzie be their given names or could they have taken these names when the white man came ?Where would i go to look for this kind of information? I am pretty new to this so anything would be so great.Thank you all, Kathy in CA.

Hi: I am interested in learning where the Hanna or Honna Cemetery is located. I have always heard family members say it was located in McIntosh County, OK. According to family lore, my gg-grand mother Suzanna Carilon HARWIG McGowin is supposed to be buried there. Although no one in the family has ever been able to locate the cemetery. She was married to a Fayette (Fate) McGowin. Some members of the family believe his surname was GOINS. He is supposed to be buried in Still Cemetery in Gore, OK. Any help would be appreciated. "B.
