This land became the property of my family in 1936. I know this from the Land Deed Abstract. I have always had an interest in the burials at Philadelphia. There are many buried there that do not have a marker. Some years ago, new graves being dug there would be in sites already occupied...but were buried anyway. I'm afraid this is still being done?? To prevent this from occurring in the present we need to contact descendants who may know exactally where the graves are located. When I was growing up in the community during the 30's - 40's there were a lot more noticable graves there than it appears today. Do you live in McCurtain County? MaryE Price
