Archie Glennon Vance, 89, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at Wadley Hospital, Texarkana, TX. He was born Oct 12, 1915 at Senith, MS He was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed gardening and riding in vehicles. He also enjoyed his mules and horses. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Irene Stacey, one sister, Marine Allen; two brothers, John and Oscar Vance; two sons-in-law, Hulen Watkins and Carey Wayne Dickerson; and one stepson, Ray Meddler. Archie is survived by his wife Lorna Vance of the home; his children, Jerry Vance, Odessa, TX, Don Vance, Wasco, TX, Jimmy Vance and Hayley Dickerson, both of Broken Bow; his step-children, Cynthia Thompson, Glover, David Jordan, Midwest City, Earl Jordan and Tommy Jordan, both of Seminole, Glenn Jordan, Newkirk, and Jamie Durant, Holly Creek; two brothers, Melvin Vance, Idabel, and Richard Vance, Eagletown; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 24, 2004 at Brumley, Broken Bow. Bro. Elwayne Schaeffer will officiate. Burial will follow in Eagletown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 23 at Brumley Funeral Home, Broken Bow.
