Abt. 1815 , Choctaw Co., MS . She married James Rowland BROWN bef. 1835. I'm trying to figure out which line is her ancestry . My first information has her father as Thomas PITCHLYNN & UNK. wife and a chieftan Choctaw named CHAFUTAYA & UNK. wife as her grandparents . I know that Chafutaya took the name PITCHLYNN because he greatly admired JOHN PITCHLYNN & wife Sophia (FOLSOM). Now I have other information that says this is wrong and Margaret "Peggy" PITCHLYNN is either the dau./o John "Jack" PITCHLYNN & unk. COLBERT ,or John PITCHLYNN & Sophia FOLSOM . I can find no children for John" Jack" & UNK. PITCHLYNN , which it seems odd there would be two children with the same name anyway. The children of John & Sophia PITCHLYNN match closer to the names I recieved for her siblings . Nor can I find any genealogy history on CHAFUTAYA , other than " The Recollections of Peter Hudson "1932. If anyone can help me find the right lineage for MARGARET "PEGGY" PITCHLYNN , I would appreciate any help I could get .
