Census records and local documentation confirm. John Montgomery Pitts was her oldest brother. Her father Laburn died shortly after her younger brother's birth and is not found after the 1870 Cleburne Co. census. This was his second marriage and family. My descendent Caroline Hart b. 10/21/1838 married Laburn Pitts 2/21/1861 in Calhoun Co, Al. and lived next door to her father John Thomas Hart (5/3/1782-2/21/1867) and her brother Warren B. Hart, my gg grandfather. I will be glad to share any information on your line.
